T.T.T.TV (Jan. 27)

Tonight's Top Three on TV

Lena, Don and William H. Macy

1. Girls (HBO 9/8c)

The second season of girls has been terrific so far. With the addition of Donald Glover as Hannah's republican boyfriend, the character one eighty done by Adam Driver and the whole Jessa painting her husband has been pretty great but the best part of this season is Allison Williams. Since the season focuses on the other three girls a lot more, we get to see a lot of the inner workings of Marnie and all I have to say about that is, more.

2. House of Lies (Showtime 10/9c)

The relationship between Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell in this show is off the wall, and now with the addition of guest star Nia Long the tension should only get more palpable.

3. Shameless (Showtime 9/8c)

Shameless is a show about family, a very poor morally shady family. William H. Macy plays the alcoholic "absentee" father (he is physically there but never totally there) with six kids. Emmy Rossum plays the oldest sister who more or less raises her siblings herself. The kids are always in search of new and probably illegal ways of making rent or paying their property taxes.

Last week we found out that the next oldest sibling, Lip (played amazingly by Jeremy Allen White), wants to take over running the family because Fiona (Emmy Rossum) has gambled some of the property tax money on her putting together a night at a bar. We also saw the youngest daughter go nuts on her father with a pillow case full of bars of soap. She was the only one that still thought he could be good until he stumbled into the house high and drunk and broke her science project. Lastly we found out that series regular and neighbor to the Gallagher family, Kev (Steve Howey), has a wife and child the he never told his now wife Veronica about. I can only imagine what's going to happen tonight, and it's all good.

I will be doing this post Sunday to Thursday because there is nothing good on TV Friday and Saturday. If you want to follow me on Twitter or send me some feedback follow me at @AJ_Trevor
