Big Brother Canada Recap: Episode 7

Big Brother Canada Recap

It's Tom's World, We Only Live In It

At the start of this episode Gary and Suzette were on the block and Tom's goal was to win the Power of Veto and remove Gary and replace him with AJ. Not only that but Tom's target started to grow more and more with his alliance even saying that Tom is a liability to their game. Let's see if Tom got his wish or if Suzette saved herself from the block.

Power of Veto
(Winning the Power of Veto means you can change one of the nominations.)

Competition: Puck Off

Players: Tom, Gary, Suzette, Liza, Aneal and Topaz

The backyard was set up like an ice rink with a net on one side with pictures of each participating house guest. The object was to answer a trivia question to earn a chance to shoot a puck at one of the other house guests picture. Once your picture was destroyed you were out of the game and could no longer win veto. Aneal and Suzette were easily the worst, Aneal was aiming for one and smashed another and Suzette smashed her own picture trying to knock Tom out.

Winner: Tom

Ceremony

Tom decided that in order to get Suzette out for sure he wold have to Gary off the block and replace him with someone that wouldn't get a vote. He chose to replace Gary with AJ and told AJ that Suzette was the main target and AJ would not be going home.

Nominees
The two players currently nominated for eviction.)

Suzette - Toms main target only made her target a little bigger when she lost the veto and called Tom an F*n redneck. It looks like the only way she could be saved is if the fans give her the "Power Shift."

AJ - AJ is the pawn. AJ is confident and AJ doesn't think that AJ will be going home this week. AJ is a huge floater and it would be hilarious if somehow AJ is sent home.

Reward Challenge
(Once and awhile the house is given a challenge, secret or otherwise, in order to earn a reward.)

Phone Booth Challenge

The phone is the store room rang and Andrew was the only one around to answer it. He was given a mission by "Big Brother" to give a reason to cook a special meal and then to cook one of the worst meals he could. The only way he would succeed would be if one of the other hose guest compliment the meal and if that doesn't happen he will be punished. Andrew decided a meal honoring his father would get the other house guests to the table without a whole lot of suspicion. Everyone but Tom thought it was disgusting, Tom even told Andrew that it was amazing, earning the house a night of Pizza and Beer.

Reward: Pizza and Beer

Showmance/Alliance Updates
(Here's an update on all the alliances in the house.)

Quattro - The main four man alliance seems to be crumbling. Alec and Peter are worried about how Tom will make them look. Emmet has his head so far up Jillian's butt he doesn't even know whats going on.

The Shield(or The S.H.I.E.L.D.) - Alec and Peter are the strongest alliance in the game. That is until Liza gets her claws into Peter.

Liza and Peter - The newest showmance, maybe. They are playing really cool but it seems like Peter is completely infatuated with Liza. This could end up a lot like an Ian-Britney-Frank situation.

Mini Power Rankings
(A quick rankings of the top players in the house.)

3. Liza - If you have everyone on your side how are you ever going to be targeted.

2. Peter - He seems like the safest player right now with all the alliances he has but if he wants to show that he can actually play he should win or at least come closer to winning HoH to prove he isn't just a floater.

1. Tom - The HoH holds the most power in the house until the Power of Veto is played. So if you win both the HoH and the Veto then you pretty much own the house that week.

Random Thoughts
(Here are some of my random thoughts.)

- The Tom- Liza- Peter triangle could be the most entertaining story line of the season.

- Liza is the only one who is playing the game at all times.

- Drunk Talla reminds me a lot of sober Talla.

- AJ talking in third person is the worst thing ever.

- Peter's diary room interviews are starting to sound a lot like Chef Joe from Big Brother 14(US).

- Suzette's immediate regret for insulting Tom is such a Canadian trait.

Running Cast Grade: B-
(Last Week: B)
(Grading the cast on an episode to episode basis.)

This week we saw Tom's plan fall into place without any real contention. There were no confrontations and the only craziness was aided by Talla being drunk, which is kind of an easy go to. I really hope Suzette sets off some fireworks as she is evicted or if she stays makes the house a horrible place to live. Suzette could be an honorary Hantz.
